Comprehensive
Economic Development Planning
The
Economic Development Administration has designated the Region 10 service
area as an "Economic Development District" for purposes of
planning and investment. Region 10 develops a Comprehensive Economic
Development Strategy for the Region every five years and updates the
strategy on an annual basis. Projects included in the Strategy may be
eligible for Economic Development Administration funding.
The Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) document
is developed through a broad based and diverse community planning process.
The purpose of the Strategy is to create a roadmap for regional economic
development and diversification, providing livable wages for its residents,
and retaining and creating primary jobs while protecting the historic
and natural assets of the Region.

Situation analysis of the Region, including the economy, geography,
population, labor force, resources and the environment. |

Strategic goals and objectives for regional economic development. |

Standards for evaluation and measurement toward goals. |
