Transportation
Planning Region 10 working as the Gunnison Valley Transportation Planning Region is responsible for the development of the 20-year Regional Transportation Plan. This plan is developed and updated through an extensive public participation process. The plan is a multi-model transportation plan addressing the transportation elements of roadways, bike & pedestrian facilities, transit services, aviation, and rail services. This plan is used by the Colorado Department of Transportation in the development of the Statewide Transportation Plan. The Gunnison Valley Transportation Planning Region has also developed a Transit Development Plan. This plan outlines details of existing transit services and the potentials for future Transit Services in the Region. Both the Colorado Department of Transportation and local transit providers utilize this plan to secure funding. Contact Region 10 if you would like a copy of the Transit Development Plan.
