Delta County Senior Resource Council and Region 10 announced the joint initiative to offer monthly, hour-long presentations on topics of interest to Baby Boomers, older seniors, and caregivers. Leah Lewis explained, “In the past DCSRC has offered information on a variety of topics and partnered with many different agencies and business. However, this is our first series and we’re very excited to work with Region 10 Area Agency on Aging who is having a great response to a similar program in Montrose.”

The LISTEN AND LEARN series theme is “Let the Sunshine in,” alluding to becoming “enlightened” as well as focusing on positive strategies to cope with issues related to growing older. Mark your calendars for the second Thursday of every month but December – noon to 1 p.m. To benefit all of Delta County, the series will rotate throughout the county – once a quarter in Delta, once in Cedaredge, and once alternating between Paonia and Hotchkiss.

Leah Lewis invites you to, “bring your lunch and be prepared to leave filled with new information that will help you, your friends, or your loved ones.”
